The Ministry of Communications has denied what has been said about sending messages from the postal sector to citizens or residents, including the payment of fees for receiving parcels and postal shipments, whether through the WhatsApp service or even e-mail, reports Al-Anba daily. The ministry said in a statement that the messages that reach the clients’ devices requesting payment is the work of the so called ‘hackers’ as the postal sector does not charge any customs value for the delivery of postal shipments, confirming that the ministry has previously warned of this practice through the press and social media platforms. The ministry said owners of cargo, postal parcels and speed mail must collect their parcels in time to avoid consequences that may follow.
