BRAZIL, Nov 9, (Agencies): Renowned Brazilian influencer Luana Andrade met a tragic end following complications during knee liposuction surgery at a Sao Paulo hospital. The 29-year-old experienced four cardiac arrests during the cosmetic procedure, leading to an emergency transfer to the intensive care unit.

Around two and a half hours into the surgery, Andrade's heart stopped, prompting doctors to cease the fat removal process and initiate resuscitation efforts. Subsequent medical investigations unveiled a pulmonary embolism linked to thrombosis as the cause of her distress.

The hospital addressed the situation, stating, "The surgery was interrupted, and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment."

Tragically, Andrade was pronounced dead at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Her boyfriend, Joao Hadad, expressed profound grief on Instagram, remembering the influencer's radiant presence and their shared dreams. Brazilian footballer Neymar also extended condolences, acknowledging the day's unfortunate events.

With a significant Instagram following and ownership of the clothing brand Lukand, Andrade was a prominent figure. She worked as a stage assistant for Domingo Legal and participated in the reality show Power Couple Brasil 6 in 2022. Her untimely demise has left a void in the hearts of fans and fellow celebrities alike.
