Burgan Bank Concludes its Sponsorship of Kuwait’s Biggest Technology and Innovation Event Nexus 2024

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 09: Burgan Bank recently concluded its participation and platinum sponsorship of Nexus 2024, the first technology and innovation event of its kind in Kuwait. The three-day event, held under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar, saw a turnout of 30,000 visitors with the presence of 60 leading companies from diverse sectors. Through its multi-faceted active participation in Nexus, Burgan Bank set out to cement its role as a key contributor to Kuwait’s burgeoning digital transformation and the achievement of the country’s national Vision 2035.

Building on its commitment to leading by example, Burgan Bank representatives were present in numerous capacities throughout the event, engaging in valuable conversations and enabling aspiring owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with practical knowledge and insights on global market trends.

This included the participation of Mr. Rami AlDhafiri, Assistant General Manager - User Experience & Innovation at Burgan Bank, in the Digital Transformation panel discussion, as well as the delivery of four workshops: Building Resilient Cybersecurity Strategies in the Digital Era, presented by Dr. Ali Al-Kazimi, Chief Information Security Officer; Applying Agile Scrum, Design Thinking, and Innovative Customer Service Strategies in its Transformation Journey, presented by Ms. Noor Eisa Al-Meshaiei, Assistant Manager – Innovation; Product Life Cycle: A Journey From Ideation to Market Release, presented by Mr. Yousef Al-Ali, Manager – Products and Segments; and Present with Impact: How to Pitch Your Idea to Win Support, presented by Ms. Fatma Ahmad, Senior Manager – Learning and Development at Burgan Bank.

Additionally, the Bank hosted three different virtual reality (VR) experiences across the event’s three zones, inviting Nexus visitors to engage with the several defining features of the Burgan experience, including its culture, Burgan Lab innovation facilities, as well as wealth management offerings. The three VR tours are enriched with the guidance and engagement of a dedicated avatar, allowing the participants to get a taste of the Burgan world.
