KUWAIT CITY, Dec 02: Burgan Bank announced joining forces with Soroptimist Kuwait in a powerful display of solidarity for the global “Orange the World” campaign, in line with the directives of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. Taking place from November 25 to December 10, this annual initiative highlights the importance of ending all forms of gender-based violence and promoting a brighter, safer future for women and girls worldwide, with this year’s theme being “Educate to Empower”.
Casting a radiant glow across Kuwait's skyline, and as part of its support, Burgan Bank’s headquarters will be illuminated in orange throughout the campaign period to symbolize solidarity and raise awareness. Additionally, a social media campaign has been launched to engage the community and emphasize the “Educate to Empower” theme.

By partnering with Soroptimist Kuwait, we aim to foster greater awareness of the critical issues surrounding gender-based violence and inspire action within our society.”
She added: “Illuminating our headquarters in orange for the 'Orange the World' campaign is not just a symbolic gesture—it is a call to action for all segments of society to come together and address the root causes of violence. We are committed to engaging our employees, customers, and the wider community in conversations about empowerment and equality. This initiative reflects Burgan Bank’s broader commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, where we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve and the society in which we operate.”

Dr. Zainab Al-Mesailekh, President of Soroptimist Kuwait, highlighted the significance of the campaign, stating: “Between November 25th, which marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, and December 10th, observed as Human Rights Day, the world celebrates 16 Days of Orange to end all forms of gender-based violence. The color orange was chosen to represent a bright future for women and girls, free from all forms of violence. In collaboration with Burgan Bank, we join the annual ‘Orange Kuwait’ campaign, which aims to shed light on various forms of violence and the importance of rejecting and combating them. Together, we can create safe and secure communities where everyone can enjoy a dignified life.”
