Burgan falls to Qatar SC in straight sets at Arab Clubs Championship

DOHA, Jan 19, (KUNA): Qatar SC secured a 3-0 victory over Kuwait's Burgan (25-22, 25-11, 25-14) in the 43rd Arab Men's Volleyball Clubs Championship, currently taking place in Doha with the participation of 15 teams.

In other matches, UAE's Al Jazira defeated Palestine's Gaza 3-0, while Emirati club Baniyas edged out defending champions Libya's Al-Sweihli 3-2.

The tournament, divided into four groups, will continue its group-stage matches until January 20. The quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for January 22 and 24, respectively, with the championship final set to take place on January 25.

This marks the first time Qatar is hosting the Arab Volleyball Championship, which began on Thursday.
