Kuwait Club makes a goal attempt against Al-Sulaibikhat.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: Burgan continued its impressive run in the Handball League with a hard-fought 32-31 victory over Kazma in the tenth round of the preliminary stage. The match highlighted Burgan's resilience. Meanwhile, Kuwait Club secured a dominant 39-25 win against Sulaibikhat, and Al-Nasr comfortably defeated Al-Sahel 37-25 in the third match of the round.

With this victory, Burgan climbed to the top of the standings with 15 points, while Kazma remained in fifth place with 10 points. Kuwait improved to 12 points, moving to fourth place, while Sulaibikhat stayed in seventh with 10 points. Al-Nasr increased its tally to 8 points, placing it tenth, and Al-Sahel remained at the bottom of the table without points.

The round concludes today with two games at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Halls Complex. Al-Qadsiya faces Al-Tadamon at 5:00 pm, followed by Al-Qurain taking on Al-Yarmouk at 6:30 pm.

The tournament follows a single-round league system, with the top six teams advancing to the Premier League. The Premier League will feature a three-division format, where qualified teams will carry forward points from the preliminary stage. Teams ranked seventh to fourteenth will compete in a two-division league to determine their final standings.
