KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Burgan achieved a crucial 2-0 victory over Al-Jahra in the 13th round of the Zain First Division League, in a match played at Al-Sahel Stadium. The result allowed Burgan to strike two major goals: halting Al-Jahra’s momentum and narrowing the gap at the top of the standings.

With this win, Burgan climbed to second place with 14 points, just one point behind league leader Al-Jahra, who remain at 15 points with five rounds remaining in the competition.

In another match at Al-Sahel Stadium in Ahmadi, Al-Shabab and Al-Sulaibikhat missed a golden opportunity to capitalize on Al-Jahra’s stumble. It's 2-2 draw kept both teams level on 14 points, adding more intensity to the battle for promotion.

With only two promotion spots available to reach the Zain Premier League, the race among the top five teams has become tighter than ever. Even Al-Sahel, currently in fifth place with 10 points, remains within striking distance of the leaders.
