In west London, a bus burst into flames on a busy Twickenham street.

LONDON, May 18: A dramatic scene unfolded in west London on Saturday afternoon as a bus erupted in flames on a bustling street in Twickenham.

Video footage captured the intense firefighting efforts as flames engulfed the 490 bus, sending thick black smoke billowing into the air. The incident occurred at approximately 13:20 BST on Richmond Road, according to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries stemming from the blaze, as confirmed by authorities. Eyewitness Samuel DeMarchi recounted the harrowing experience, stating, "I live very close to where the fire was and I was going out to run some errands. I looked up and saw a massive plume of smoke, and my neighbors and I went down an alleyway and saw the bus on fire."

DeMarchi further assured, "As far as I know, no one was hurt and everyone got off safely. There were people on the bus, but they all got off the bus before something bad could happen."

The London Fire Brigade has been contacted for additional information regarding the incident.
