KUWAIT CITY, July 30: The Cabinet, in its meeting on Monday, is expected to decide on the costs of the housing units in South Khaitan, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.They indicated that the decision to delay the fixing of costs of the housing units in North Khaitan was due to some technical reasons, affirming that the government will bear the cost of infrastructure.The sources said the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) will be assigned to supervise the authorities that will take charge for completion of the infrastructure based on the allotted time schedule.According to a source from PAHW, more than 1,800 applications were submitted by citizens after the registration process for units in Khaitan housing project was launched.Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah has been conducting surprise tours to many security sectors on a daily basis in order to be acquainted with the latest developments and tackle gaps in the performance, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.They revealed that several decisions will be issued in the next phase including a reshuffle of the leadership in many sectors, affirming that those in high ranking positions will subject to accountability to ensure enhanced confidence in the security authorities.FailuresThe sources indicated that the minister Al-Jarrah, during his visits, discovered longstanding failures especially in the enforcement of verdicts and security of borders.They affirmed that the coming phase will see young blood being pumped into many departments as well as implementation of plans necessary for development.Furthermore, Ministry of Education will request Civil Service Commission (CSC) to amend the conditions related to financial and functional aspects affecting psychological and social service specialists, reports Al-Anba daily quoting educational sources.They explained that the Undersecretary for Activities and Educational Development Faisal Al-Maqseed met the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares to explain the nature of the work of these specialists and the tremendous efforts they exert, stressing the need for them to receive salaries similar to that of teachers.In another development, Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Qualitative Education Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Huwaila announced that the General Department for Private Education is working on forming a specialized committee to set the standards and controls for organizing the fees structure of private schools, indicating that a comprehensive plan in this regard will be ready by January 2018, reports Al-Anba daily.Director of Jahra Educational Zone Waleed Bin Ghaith announced the completion of the review of the list of excellent performing employees of the educational zone.He revealed that 11,799 male and female employees meet the relevant conditions in Jahra educational zone including nearly 600 employees working in the head office while the rest are in various departments of schools.Ministry of Health has announced the preparation of a bylaw for dealing with the issue related to retirement of doctors and medical technicians due to the current difficulty in employing doctors and medical consultants of rare specializations, as well as for handling the resignations and expansions in various hospitals and units, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting informed sources.They said the heads of units in various hospitals and specialized medical centers held discussions during a meeting about the lack of required number of doctors for certain specializations as well as about the method to attract them to work in the ministry either through direct appointments or temporary contracts.
