KUWAIT CITY, March 29: Kuwait Municipality has launched an intensive campaign from Salmiya to Hawally to close shops that sell hookah and its accessories, taking into consideration the fact that smoking “sheesha” is one among the activities that have been banned under the current situation, reports Al-Anba daily.

Deputy Head of Hawally Municipality’s Emergency Department Ibrahim Al-Sabaan said the team, based on instructions from the Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng. Ahmad Al-Manfouhi, issued verbal warnings recently to the shops that sell hookah and its accessories.

He affirmed that the team will also close stores that sell e-cigarettes and vaping devices, the sale of which is limited to only the central markets of cooperative societies that wish to do so.
