KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: As part of the Farwaniya Educational District initiative, the Umm Ziad Al-Ashja’iya Girls’ Secondary School in Ishbiliyah in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, launched the national campaign under the title ‘Together Against Violence’ to address growing violence among youth, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Ali Al-Ali, head of the Kuwaiti Society Against Violence, urged parents to protect and monitor their children, noting that juvenile centers are currently holding up several young offenders. He emphasized the need for solutions through policy amendments with government agencies and suggested schools check students’ bags and restrict phone use.
Al-Ali highlighted that the campaign’s mission is to reintegrate youth into society as active, positive contributors. He added that the society’s strategy aligns with Kuwait’s vision for the future, aiming to combat community violence by promoting Islamic values and cultural heritage through tolerance, social cohesion, and respect. Moreover, the society plans to provide vulnerable groups with coping skills and conduct studies to understand and address violence in the community
