KUWAIT CITY, March 9: At the behest of citizens, hikers, and camp owners, the Spring Camps Committee has agreed to prolong this year’s spring camping season until the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan. The municipality has reached out to the Director General of the Environment Public Authority to seek their perspective on this matter.

The citizens’ plea stems from the delightful spring weather prevailing in the country during this period. Notably, the Committee, inclusive of representatives from the Environment Authority, has fully endorsed the extension request, reports Al-Rai daily. Given the imminent expiration of the original camping period, slated for March 15, the municipality has urged the Environment Public Authority to expedite their decision-making process.

According to reliable sources, the authority holds the power to grant or deny the extension, as per the executive regulations outlined in the Environmental Protection Law. Consequently, the municipality is obliged to collaborate closely with the authority to ensure compliance with any directives issued.
