KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: In confirmation of the article titled “Entrances and Exits of Jaber Al-Ahmad City on the Track of Implementation” published by the daily on Friday, November 15, the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) announced recently the launch of the project’s tender based on the request of the Ministry of Public Works, and has set December 17 as the closing date for submitting bids.
According to informed sources, the announcement marks the start of the bidding process, with companies wishing to compete required to submit their financial bids to CAPT within the specified period. Afterward, the bids will be opened and referred to the Ministry of Public Works for review, with a decision on the award to be made within a month.
The sources explained that this project is one of the important road projects aimed at constructing and improving the entrances and exits to Jaber Al-Ahmad City at Sites 1 and 2. The project is necessary for safeguarding the services of the oil sector and other ministries in the region. It will also include essential infrastructure such as rainwater drainage systems, lighting, and ground traffic control, as well as the installation of traffic signs, protection barriers, and collision prevention measures. The project will be executed in two locations - the first covers the city’s southern entrances and exits with a connection to Jahra Road, and the second involves the city’s eastern entrances and exits with a link to Doha Road
