KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Adel Al-Zamil issued Administrative Decision No. 1832/2026 authorizing the professional grade advancement of 2,830 employees in various departments. Article One of the decision, which was issued on Oct 26, stipulates the advancement of the employees listed in the attached schedule. Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Ahmed Al-Nama had earlier approved this advancement.

Meanwhile, the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) recently opened bids for three ministry tenders for the supply, installation and maintenance of 11 kV medium-voltage and low-voltage overhead lines, along with the related works – one tender each for the northern, southern and central areas. A total of 18 companies were qualified during the bidding process -- seven companies for the southern area, five for the northern area and six for the central area. The CAPT Board of Directors referred the tender documents to the ministry for review and presentation of technical recommendations within 30 days from the date of issuing the decision. These three tenders are in line with the ongoing efforts of the ministry to improve the performance of the electricity grid, maintain its stability, ensure power supply round the clock and provide electricity for new consumers.
