KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi, the Director of Farwaniya Hospital, has announced the initiation of cardiac catheterization services at the hospital in the coming days. This marks a significant milestone as the hospital had previously redirected all cardiac catheterization cases to other healthcare facilities such as Chest Diseases and Jaber Hospital. Dr. Al-Mutairi emphasized that this development is a groundbreaking first step for Farwaniya Hospital.
In a statement made yesterday, Dr. Al-Mutairi outlined upcoming advancements in various medical specialties at Farwaniya Hospital. These include the introduction of spine specialization in the orthopedic department, fertility and sterilization services in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and the establishment of a dedicated clinic for fertility diseases and artificial insemination. This new clinic, equipped with laboratories and devices, will be the third of its kind in Kuwait, joining the ranks of similar clinics at Jahra and Al-Sabah hospitals.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Mutairi revealed the full transition of the Nuclear Medicine Department, including all therapeutic and diagnostic services, to positron emission, a state-of-the-art diagnostic technology now available at the hospital. He also announced the commencement of the fifth and final operational phase, involving the transfer of clinics from the old Farwaniya Hospital to the new facility.
