KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: In a recent ruling, the Family Court granted a divorce to a Kuwaiti woman after surveillance footage revealed that her husband had not only cheated on her but also physically abused her. The husband had installed cameras to monitor activities around the house, including the servants, but it was this very evidence that exposed his mistreatment and betrayal of his wife. Lawyer Hawra Al-Habib, representing the wife, emphasized the severity of the husband’s actions, noting that while some family disputes can be resolved, it is impossible to heal a relationship when there is abuse and betrayal. Al-Habib highlighted that both Sharia law and the legal system do not tolerate such disrespect towards a wife, affirming the court’s decision as necessary for upholding her dignity and rights.
