KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: Despite the importance of the position of the Parliament Speaker, controversy continues to surround the ‘ballot papers’ that were distributed to the parliamentarians. Recordings of the election show the absence of ‘Parliament stamp’ on some papers in addition to the confusion about the role of the General Secretariat of the National Assembly in distributing invitations to people and ignoring invitations to former parliamentary figures and officials, as well as violations committed by the guards for not controlling the session and controlling the public.
In the meantime, MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf has warned the General Secretariat not to tamper with the content of all Parliament cameras during the days leading up to the Speaker’s elections. He indicated, it will be part of the investigation committee’s work to check the contents of the cameras since the time the election results were announced on Dec 15 to find out the validity of entry of unauthorized persons at different times and the work they have done.
