Chinese Language Bridge summer camp successfully concludes

KUWAIT CITY, July 2:  On June 23, the “Chinese Language Bridge” summer camp with the International University of Kuwait was officially concluded, which was hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Kuwait in cooperation with the Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Chinese Ministry of Education, and organized by Sichuan University of International Studies. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Zhang Peiping, Vice President of Sichuan University of International Studies, and all members, teachers and volunteers of the summer camp.

During the 14-day camping,  22 teachers and students from the International University of Kuwait traveled to Beijing, Chengdu and Chongqing, and enjoyed an unforgettable cultural trip. The students visited famous places in China, experienced traditional Chinese culture, tasted authentic local Chinese food, and felt the moving atmosphere. For Chinese modernization by visiting the “SERES Auto Super” factory and the “Sanfeng” environmental protection company, and they established a deep friendship between Chinese and Kuwaiti youth through cultural exchange with the high school affiliated with Sichuan University of Foreign Studies, and they understood the value and importance of harmonious coexistence between man and nature through close contact. With Panda, they have the fun of cross-cultural communication by learning a variety of Chinese language courses.

In this summer camp,  students not only improved their communication skills in Chinese and built a global perspective and international vision, but also felt the depth of Chinese culture and the rapid development of contemporary China. This event provided an opportunity for Kuwaiti students to better understand China and promote people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and Kuwaiti youth. .

During the event, Nasser and Waleed,  as representatives of Kuwaiti students, expressed their love for Chinese culture and their expectations for the future friendship between China and Kuwait. This summer camp not only gives Kuwaiti students the opportunity to see the beauty of China  but also gives them a chance to see the bright future of the China-Kuwait friendship.

“Chinese Language Bridge” is a project launched by the Language Exchange and Cooperation Center. It has become an important platform for students from all over the world to learn Chinese and understand China. Sichuan International Studies University has hosted the summer camp of this project for many consecutive years.

This is the first summer camp organized by Sichuan University of International Studies and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and aims to deepen Kuwaiti students’ understanding of Chinese language and culture through a series of courses and activities such as Chinese language courses, courses on national situations and Chinese culture, cultural exchange between young students, and visits to Places with Chinese historical and cultural landscapes, in order to build a bridge for cultural exchange, enhance the spirit of friendship between Chinese and Kuwaiti youth, and promote mutual understanding and learning between the peoples of China and Kuwait.
