KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: All churches in the State of Kuwait held a special evening under the title “Together We Sing to the Child of the Manger”, which was hosted by the Catholic Church, Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia in Holy Family Co-Cathedral in celebration of Christmas and the beginning of a new year, where the Catholic Church shone with its beautiful lights and decorations, creating a warm and touching atmosphere.
The evening was attended by a group of ambassadors, several social figures, and representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions. Among the most prominent attendees was the representative of Dr. Mohammad Al-Jasar the Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, and Assistant Secretary for the Arts Sector, Mr. Musaed Al-Zamel. On the sidelines of the event, the Legal Advisor and Public Relations Officer of the Catholic Church, Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia, Mr. Naim Habib, described it as a joyful, beautiful, and special day for all churches in the State of Kuwait to meet under the roof of the Catholic Church, Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia, at the special invitation of his excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, noting, “Today we were pleased to have the Assistant Secretary-General for the Arts Sector, Mr.Musaed Al-Zamel, and all segments of Kuwaiti society, honor us with their presence at the event.” He stated that the celebration was exceptional and distinctive this year with the participation of all churches in Kuwait, as each church presented Christmas hymns that express the joy of these Christian rites and communities in the State of Kuwait in welcoming a new year.
At the end of his statement, Habib wished “all the best to the State of Kuwait, its leadership and people, as it is our second country that contains us, and contains all cultures and religions, as Kuwait is a hospitable and humane country,” adding that this celebration is a message of peace, love, and harmony between all segments of society and the whole world. As for the administration advisor, Mr. Michel Chaccour, he expressed his happiness with the celebration as it brought together all churches under one roof, in a loving and hospitable country (Kuwait), wishing that peace would prevail in the world, especially in the Middle East
