KUWAIT CITY, June 26: In a recent judicial decision, the Criminal Court in Kuwait has sentenced a Kuwaiti employee to five years in prison and ordered his dismissal from employment. The ruling further mandates that he repay 4,300 dinars and pay a fine double that amount. These penalties stem from his actions involving the wrongful retention of a service reward mistakenly transferred to his account by a cooperative society. Despite the error, the employee refused to return the funds, leading to the legal proceedings that culminated in this verdict.
