KUWAIT CITY, June 20: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf Saud Al-Sabah affirmed today the crucial role of the civil ID card as a primary source of security information essential for government operations. He emphasized the government’s ability to enact legislation to regulate work environments, remove obstacles, and advance the country’s interests. The General Department of Security Relations and Media issued the statement at the Ministry of Interior following Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf’s chairing of a meeting held at the Public Authority for Civil Information.

The meeting was attended by former Minister of Trade and Industry Abdullah Al-Joaan and representatives from Civil Information, the Public Authority for Manpower, Kuwait Municipality, the Kuwait Fire Force, and the Ministry of Civil Information. The Public Security and Residency and Nationality Affairs sectors represented the Ministry of Interior. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf emphasized the need for a comprehensive vision to achieve seamless coordination among relevant authorities, ensuring data sharing from a unified source and continuous data updates.
