Civil Service Council discusses proposal for 44 new job titles for citizens with lower qualifications

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Civil Service Council, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Acting Chairman of the Civil Service Council, Sherida Al-Muasherji, has discussed a proposal submitted by the Civil Service Commission to create 44 new job titles. These positions are designed to provide job opportunities in 11 ministries and government agencies for citizens holding qualifications lower than university and diploma degrees, specifically individuals with secondary, intermediate, or primary certificates, as well as those with no formal qualifications.

The Council has tasked the Civil Service Commission with coordinating with government agencies to establish the necessary controls and proposals for the implementation of the plan. One of the proposed measures includes requiring candidates to sign a declaration and pledge to occupy their assigned position for a period of five years.

A copy of the table, which outlines the job titles and the number of positions allocated to various ministries and agencies, was reviewed during the Council's Meeting No. 4 of 2024, held on June 6, 2024.

According to the table, the Ministry of Education will offer 10 job titles for work in schools, including:

Science

Lecturer

Embalmer

Music Activity Implementer

Hall Supervisor

Housing Supervisor

Student Companion

Food Preparer

Student Affairs Registration Implementer

Messenger

Security Assistant

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs will offer six job titles, including:

Muezzin

Quran Memorizer

Mosque Supervisor

Quran Circle Supervisor

Quran House Supervisor

Real Estate Supervisor

The Kuwait Municipality will offer four job titles, including:

Grave Digger

Dead Body Transport Driver

Dead Body Washer

Cemetery Supervisor

The Ministry of Health will offer four job titles, including:

Wing Manager

Housing Supervisor

Laboratory Records Clerk

Recovery Guide

The Ministry of Interior will offer four job titles, including:

The Ministry of Electricity will offer the job title of Meter Reader, while the Ministry of Finance will offer the position of Real Estate Supervisor.

The General Authority for Sports and the General Authority for Youth will offer four job titles, including:

Sports Activity Executor

Hall Supervisor

Swimming Lifeguard

Assistant Sports Coach

The National Council for Culture and Arts will offer positions as:

Assistant Antiquities Technician

Assistant Curator of Antiquities

Mummifier

In a related announcement, the Civil Service Commission confirmed that the registration period for employment will begin on March 28 and will end on April 11.
