KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: The Ministry of Interior clarified on Thursday that recent reports about halting the printing of all types of driving permits refer specifically to "driving permits" and not "driving licenses." In a statement to KUNA, the General Department of Security Relations and Media explained that only certain categories of driving permits — such as fare, on-demand fare, driving instructor, public bus, mobile fare, individual driving instructor, and van permits — will be transitioned from physical copies to digital versions available in the Ministry of Interior's digital wallet application.
The Ministry urged the public to verify the accuracy of any circulated information and to rely on official sources for updates.
