KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: The Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Coast Guard, has issued a directive urging citizens and residents to avoid being present, fishing, or sailing in specific sea areas. The restricted zones include regions from the Al-Akkaz area, near the beginning of the Jaber Bridge, to Ras Ashirj, as well as the Al-Haishan, Doha, and Sulaibikhat areas.

This restriction is implemented in accordance with Environmental Protection Law No. (42) of 2014, particularly Article (108), and is supported by Ministerial Resolution No. (816) of 2008, which designates prohibited zones for sea activities.

It is important to note that the Kuwait Bay fishing permit does not authorize fishing in these restricted areas.

The General Administration of the Coast Guard has emphasized the need for compliance with these regulations. Legal action will be taken against those who violate the bans.
