KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: The Supreme Committee on Kuwaiti citizenship announced on Thursday the stripping of 3,043 citizenships with the matter referred to the Cabinet. This came during a meeting for the commission chaired by the First Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al- Sabah. A statement by the Interior Ministry revealed that 164 individuals had their Article One of the citizenship law stripped of due to fraud, 16 people -- also through fraud -- had their Article Seven of the citizenship law stripped of, while 2,863 individuals had their Article eight citizenship taken due to having the nationalities of 54.
