KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: The Public Prosecution has charged nine suspects in connection with a conspiracy to accuse an Arab expatriate falsely of drug possession and usage. The complex scheme reportedly began when an Arab woman conspired with her Bedoon (stateless) lover to plant illegal drugs in her ex-husband's vehicle. Motivated by a desire for revenge, the woman allegedly coordinated with her lover, who used his connection to a Ministry of Interior officer to help execute the plan.
According to sources, the Bedoon informed the officer of his intent to implicate the woman’s ex-husband. With assistance from two cops, the plan was set in motion when an Arab accomplice planted hashish and ecstasy pills in the targeted vehicle. The patrol unit quickly followed, arresting the ex-husband and transferring him to the Anti-Narcotics Department.
Suspicious of the arrest's circumstances, department officers conducted a thorough investigation, eventually uncovering the truth. Under questioning, the officer and cops admitted their involvement, revealing the full extent of the conspiracy, which also implicated the woman, her lover, and the accomplice who planted the drugs. Following her arrest, the woman confessed, as did the accomplice, a colleague of the ex-husband. A subsequent attempt to apprehend the Bedoon lover in the Sulaibiya area led to a confrontation in which his family resisted arrest; however, police subdued the group and took them into custody.
The prosecution assembled the case with confessions from all parties involved, marking a decisive response to this intricate conspiracy. The Anti-Narcotics Department, lauded for its diligence in uncovering the truth, reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding individuals from baseless accusations and upholding justice.
