KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Public Relations Committee of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the “Khaleeji Zain 26 has finalized its initial preparations to welcome guests for the tournament. A comprehensive plan was developed last November to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for all visitors, from their arrival in Kuwait to their departure.

Sheikh Nasser Fahad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, emphasized the committee’s early start to address potential challenges and maintain smooth operations. “We have formed several volunteer teams to handle various responsibilities,” he said. “A public relations team will greet guests at the airport, while others will assist at hotels accommodating the delegations, referees, and officials. Additional teams will oversee arrangements at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium and Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Stadium during the matches.”

Sheikh Nasser assured that committee members would be on duty 24/7 throughout the tournament to provide exceptional service and promptly resolve any issues. “This is our responsibility, and we take great pride in fulfilling it to the highest standards,” he said.

He extended gratitude to the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef, President of the Football Association, for their unwavering support. “Their encouragement and assistance have significantly facilitated our work and placed upon us a great responsibility, which we are committed to honoring,” he added.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Adwani, Chairman of the Volunteers Committee, announced that volunteer registration for “Khaleeji Zain 26” closed last Thursday, with over 4,400 volunteers enlisted. “Volunteers will play an essential role in the tournament, from assisting fans with stadium entry and emergencies during matches to ensuring their smooth exit,” he explained.

The final group of volunteers was inducted yesterday, following strict selection criteria. Al-Adwani noted that specialized training sessions are scheduled for today for the latest recruits, with comprehensive training for all volunteers set for Friday and Saturday at Jaber International Stadium and Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium. “These sessions will prepare volunteers for their duties and ensure they are fully equipped to contribute to the success of the tournament,” he concluded.
