KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: The General Administration of Customs said the imitation items including 10,000 watches, about 8,000 hand bags, about 300 laptops, clothes and other accessories all bearing international brands names which were confiscated when the air cargo arrived at the air customs, will be destroyed, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Kuwaiti air cargo customs officials said the cargo was imported in a 40-foot container from an Asian country for local consumption. The source said the laptops will be sold at an auction if they are proven genuine. In the meantime, the customs source said that seizure comes within the framework of the commitment of Kuwaiti customs authorities to international conventions to protect intellectual property rights.
