KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The Constitutional Court decided today, Wednesday, to defer three direct appeals concerning the constitutionality of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Law. The appeals, filed by Muhammad Al-Saqr, Dabous Al-Dabous, Hamad Al-Omar, and others, will be reviewed and addressed in the session scheduled for September 11.

Additionally, the court postponed three direct appeals challenging the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Competition Protection Authority and the Fatwa and Legislation Department. These appeals pertain to the constitutionality of the ruling on the Competition Protection Law and its executive regulations.

Furthermore, the appeal filed by Mohamed Naser Al Sayer Establishment Company contesting the constitutionality of provisions in Law No. 72 of 2020 regarding competition protection was also postponed. A hearing has been scheduled for September 11 to deliberate on the appeal and provide a response.
