KUWAIT CITY, July 22: The Misdemeanor Court cleared a contractor of charges related to "breach of trust" for allegedly taking government-subsidized bricks intended for a citizen's plot in the Al-Wafra residential area.
Attorney Jassim Al-Tuwaitan, representing the contractor, argued that the elements necessary to constitute a breach of trust were missing. He explained that the contractor had used the agency's services after its cancellation, and the receipt in question was dated before this cancellation. Al-Tuwaitan also highlighted that the complainant had refused to pay the contractor KD 6,000 for work done on the plot and an additional KD 5,000 for a swimming pool. The accusation arose only after the contractor had sought payment for these services.
