KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: The Criminal Court has acquitted 18 former members of Parliament and social media users who were charged with spreading false information regarding the alleged ban on Shuaib Al-Muwaizri’s entry into Kuwait.
The Public Prosecution had previously released the defendants after completing their investigations. They were accused of broadcasting false news about the reported entry ban on Al-Muwaizri, which allegedly harmed the country’s national interests. Additionally, the charges included misuse of telecommunication services, in violation of Article 70 of the Communications Authority Establishment Law.
