KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: The Criminal Court has denied the release of a well-known media figure accused of insulting the Amir. The court has decided to postpone the case until a verdict is issued on October 23.
The media figure was arrested at Kuwait Airport earlier today upon returning from abroad. Following his arrest, he was referred to the Criminal Court to serve the two-year prison sentence that had been previously imposed in absentia.
