Court Imposes Hefty Fine On Expat For Illegal Nursery And Unauthorized Workers

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: The Court of First Instance has fined an expatriate 7,000 dinars for illegally operating a nursery in a rented apartment. The ruling is divided into two parts: a 2,000-dinar fine for employing unauthorized expat workers and a 5,000-dinar fine for running an unlicensed nursery.

Authorities had received reports about the apartment being used as a nursery. Upon investigation, they documented the presence of children, an expatriate caretaker, and the accused's wife. The case was then brought to court.

As reported by "Kuwait Al-Youm," the ruling is now final, as the convicted individual did not file an appeal within the 27 days following the second day of the publication of the verdict.
