KUWAIT CITY, May 1: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Abdullah Al-Othman, upheld the death sentence issued against a 32-year old Kuwaiti citizen who stabbed his friend to death and buried his body near the Eighth Ring Road. The court also upheld the verdict issued against the defendant’s brother to sentence him to two-year imprisonment for burning the victim’s phone.
According to the case file, the 32-year-old citizen had stabbed his 33-year-old friend several times and killed him, after which he carried his body and buried it near the Eighth Ring Road project. He then set his vehicle on fire. After this, he went to the Umm Al-Hayman police station to surrender himself.
