KUWAIT CITY, Sep 22: A series of surprise security campaigns conducted across all governorates resulted in the arrest of 434 expats for violating residency and labor laws within a week.

The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday evening that these intensified efforts targeted those who did not take advantage of the grace period provided for residency law violations, as well as individuals breaching labor regulations. The General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations led these campaigns, apprehending expats of various nationalities who were then referred to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal procedures, with deportation pending.

The Ministry emphasized that these security operations will continue across the country as part of a broader strategy to enforce the law and address all violations related to residency and labor regulations, ensuring legal measures are taken against all offenders.
