KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: In two separate cases, a total of seven individuals are currently in the custody of the Criminal Security division, facing charges of stealing approximately one ton of electric cables.

According to the General Department of Relations and Security Media within the Ministry of Interior, these actions are part of the rigorous security initiatives undertaken by the criminal security sector. These efforts include intensified search and investigative operations aimed at addressing incidents of electric cable theft across different regions of the nation. The department is also focused on tracking down instances of unknown electrical wire and cable thefts.

The Farwaniya Investigation Department, successfully arrested four Asians. This operation was executed on receiving specific information indicating their involvement in electric cable theft. Legal permissions were obtained, allowing authorities to conduct a targeted raid at the identified location. As a result, two suspects were apprehended on-site. Subsequent searches led to the discovery of two additional individuals concealed material within bags. These bags contained a staggering one ton of electrical and copper cables, alongside cutting tools and bags prepped for potential sales.

In a separate incident, the Investigation Department of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate detained three Arabs. This arrest took place as an investigative unit conducted a security patrol within the Sabah Al-Salem area. Upon arriving at the scene, it was evident that these individuals had infiltrated a store with the intent of committing theft. Furthermore, they were found in possession of a quantity of electrical cables.

The suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further necessary actions to be taken against them. These actions are reflective of the government's commitment to combat such criminal activities and uphold security and lawfulness within the nation.
