KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The criminal investigation officers have arrested an unidentified person in connection with several cases, including impersonating police and robbing people, after setting up a trap for him in the suburb of Al-Salmi, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added the man attempted to escape after attempting to stab officers with a sharp weapon, but he was overpowered, wrestled to the ground, handcuffed taken to a police station, and then handed over to the Public Prosecution. A source told Al-Anba the man was arrested after police received a tip-off from a police agent about the whereabouts of the suspect. A search of his car yielded a flashlight belonging to the Ministry of Interior, a knife, and a belt worn by security personnel.
