KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) emphasized the importance of government agencies adhering to the decision regarding official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan. The decision introduces a flexible working system consisting of four and a half hours for both the morning and evening shifts.

In a press statement on Monday, the CSC clarified that work during Ramadan will begin from 8:30 AM and end by 10:30 AM. It further explained that government agencies have the flexibility to determine the exact start and end times based on the needs of the work.

The commission reiterated the requirement for government agencies to continue using the fingerprint verification system, as outlined in the decision by the Civil Service Council. This system ensures compliance with the established rules, provisions, and controls regarding official working hours.

Additionally, the CSC specified that the official working hours during the evening shift will be four and a half hours, with a 15-minute grace period at the beginning of the shift. A similar grace period will apply to female employees at the end of their workday. The commission stressed the need for all agencies to adhere to the prescribed evening working hours, which must conclude before 6:45 PM.
