Unsecured cooling unit roses risk to worshippers at the Al-Zahem Mosque in Hawalli.

KUWAIT CITY, July 6: Visitors to Al-Zahem Mosque in Hawalli are facing significant risks due to a precariously hanging cooling unit in the ablution area. The unit, partially dislodged, is currently entangled in an electrical wire connected to the main operating machine, posing a threat of severe injury or even death.

Worshippers have repeatedly informed the administration of Hawalli mosques about the dangerous situation, but no action has been taken as of Saturday. According to the worshippers, their attempts to fix the issue have been hindered by fears of bearing responsibility for any potential mistakes. Consequently, they have reported the matter to the Ministry of Endowments, the competent authority.

The primary concern is that the wire could snap at any moment, causing the cooling unit to fall on someone or triggering an electrical short circuit. Either scenario presents a serious danger to the mosque’s visitors. Worshippers are urgently calling for intervention to prevent any potential accidents and ensure the safety of all attendees.
