Dawri Zain‘Player of the Round’ winners honored

KUWAIT CITY Oct 30: Zain has recognized the top-performing athletes in the Kuwait Premier League (Dawri Zain), during a special ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Shuwaikh.The event celebrated the winners of Zain’s‘Player of the Round’ awards for the first eight rounds of the league, in partnership with the Kuwait Football Association (KFA).

The Dawri Zain stars were recognized by Zain Kuwait CEO Nawaf Algharabally and Sheikh Ahmad Al Yousef Al Sabah, with attendance from KFA Acting Secretary-General Dr. Saleh Al Majroub, Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, Head of the Technical Committee Thamer Enad, committee members Jamal Mubarak and Waleed Ali, along with Zain officials.

The company presented its ‘Player of the Round’ award (KD 500) to the following athletes: Arabi SC’s Ali Khalaf (1st round, presented during the Arabi and Qadisiya derby), Kuwait SC’s Yousef Nasser (2nd and 5th rounds), and Fahaheel SC’s Abdulmohsen Al Ajmi (3rd round).

The following players were also honored: Tadamun SC’s Talal Al Ansari (4th round), Kuwait SC’s Redha Hani (6th round), Salmiya SC’s Muath Al Osaima (7th round), and Qadisiya SC’s Eid Al Rashidi (8th round).

The Kuwait Football Association has formed a special committee to oversee and outline the criteria on which the prize winners will be selected. The committee is membered by former players, coaches, and experts: Thamer Enad (committee head), Jamal Mubarak, Faisal Bourguba, Waleed Ali, and Mubarak Al Wugayan.

For the third season running, Zain continues to deliver on its promise to support athletes, players, and fans with its prizes, offering over KD 60,000 per season, the biggest prize pool in the local league’s history. The company strives to inspire promising talent, motivate players to excel, and help bring thrilling experiences to the most passionate fans.



This support reflects Zain’s belief in the vital role of the Kuwaiti private sector in promoting and advancing local sports to new levels. Such steps have added excitement and intensity to the previous seasons, creating a renewed experience for fans and football enthusiasts alike.

The 2024-2025 season’s prizes from Zain include Player of the Season (KD 10,000), Player of the Round (KD 500 per round), Season’s Top Pro Scorer (KD 5,000), and Season’s Top Local Scorer (KD 5000).

The prizes also include Goalkeeper of the Season (KD 5,000), Coach of the Season (KD 3,000), Rising Star of the Season (KD 2,000), and Best Photo of the Season (KD 1000). For the Zain First Division League, the company presents a Player of the Round prize (KD 200 per round).

Zain also offers over KD 10,000 prizes to winners of the Zain Fantasy League competition, bringing the thrills of Kuwaiti football to the digital space. The game aims to engage fans in the excitement of the league in an innovative way.
