Deadline Looms: Civil ID & Transaction Suspension for Kuwaitis Missing Biometric Data

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 19: The Ministry of Interior has urged Kuwaitis to complete their biometric fingerprint registration before the deadline on September 30th. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of civil ID cards and the inability to access government and banking services.

Starting from October 1st, fingerprinting offices in shopping malls will stop their operations, and individuals will need to visit designated biometric centers within the Identity Investigation Departments under the General Department of Criminal Evidence. These centers will be open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The Ministry emphasized that citizens must book an appointment through the “Sahel” application before visiting the designated centers to complete the biometric procedures.
