NETHERLANDS, Nov 23, (Agencies): A highly venomous snake has escaped from a residence in Tilburg, the Netherlands, raising concerns among local authorities. The municipality spokesperson informed CNN on Wednesday that the snake, identified as a poisonous green mamba measuring between 1.8 and 2 meters (6 to 6.5 feet) in length, went missing on Monday afternoon.

Residents are being cautioned to maintain a safe distance and refrain from approaching the elusive snake. In the event of a snakebite, authorities advise immediate contact with emergency services, emphasizing the urgency of prompt action.

The municipality spokesperson assured the public that the tropical snake, known for its preference for warm and dark spaces, is unlikely to venture into the cold Dutch winter outside its owner's residence.
