KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The Court of Appeals recently overturned the verdict of the lower court and sentenced a US citizen to life imprisonment, reports Al-Anba daily. The Criminal Court had earlier sentenced the man to capital punishment for smuggling and trafficking in cocaine.The American, an employee of a military camp in Kuwait, reportedly smuggled the drugs through air parcels taking advantage of his position. He also admitted to selling cocaine and transferring the proceeds into his account outside the country.
