KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: The Court of Appeals has rejected the appeal filed by a Kuwaiti citizen who was convicted of killing Ahmed Al-Jalal, a fellow citizen, and upheld the death sentence previously issued by the Criminal Court. The Criminal Court had sentenced the accused individual to death for the crime committed last August in Hadiya. He had confessed to the crime during previous court sessions. However, his lawyer argued that the convict was unaware of his actions, which led the court to appoint a medical committee to assess his mental state.
