KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, conducted a field inspection visit on Friday afternoon to several locations belonging to the Air Defense Forces. He was welcomed by the Commander of Air Defense, Major General Khalid Al-Sharihan, along with several officers.

In a press release, the Ministry of Defense stated that Sheikh Fahad Yousef was briefed at the beginning of the visit on the nature of the tasks and duties carried out by the Air Defense Forces. He received an overview of their level of readiness and preparedness, as well as the training and qualification programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the defense systems.

During the visit, he toured the field locations, observing the operations and techniques employed to maintain the combat and technical readiness of the air defense systems. At the conclusion of the visit, Sheikh Yousef expressed his pride and appreciation for the efforts of the Air Defense Forces, commending their high efficiency and dedication. He affirmed that their commitment reflects the spirit of service and belonging that characterizes our armed forces.

The statement also noted that Sheikh Yousef praised the crucial role of the Air Defense Forces in safeguarding the country’s airspace. He emphasized its importance as a fundamental pillar of "our defense system" and highlighted the necessity of achieving the highest levels of vigilance, readiness, and preparedness to ensure the security and safety of the nation's airspace. He underscored the importance of continuing this approach to bolster defense capabilities.

The Ministry of Defense further stated that Sheikh Yousef confirmed, "The wise leadership places great importance on providing all necessary resources to ensure the superiority and continuous readiness of our armed forces." He also prayed to Almighty Allah to "protect our beloved homeland and sustain the blessing of security and safety" under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah protect him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may Allah protect him.
