KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: The General Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior has decided to come heavy on the motorcycle riders in all governorates of Kuwait, especially those who work for grocery shops and food outlets as ‘delivery boys’ saying the motorcyclists adhering to the traffic laws is no less important than the motorists, reports Al-Rai daily.
The GTD has admitted that campaigns against “delivery drivers” have increased especially those who violate the laws, such as not wearing the helmet while driving.
The daily quoting security sources said it has also come to the notice of the security authorities that a majority of these drivers do not hold licence in which case their vehicles are impounded and the driver referred to the concerned authorities.
