KUWAIT CITY, March 30: In a bizarre incident, a delivery worker was attacked by an unknown assailant, dragged into a residence, beaten, and even strangled before being released.
In the case, registered at Al-Shaab Police Station under the title "Major Physical Assault," a 36-year-old expatriate delivery man was assaulted. According to a security source, the victim stated that a plate of dessert was ordered and assigned to him to deliver to Block 8 in Al-Shaab.
Approximately an hour later, the store management informed him that the customer had complained and requested a replacement order—free of charge. The delivery man complied, but upon arriving at the address, he was confronted by the same individual who had received the initial order.
"He told me to either leave or call the police," the victim recounted. "Then, without warning, he grabbed me by my clothes, dragged me into the apartment, beat me, and strangled me."
The complainant confirmed that he did not know the attacker but provided his phone number and described him as a fair-skinned, short man with long hair and a beard. The motive behind the assault remains unclear—whether it stemmed from frustration over the delayed delivery or dissatisfaction with the order itself. The victim submitted a medical report documenting his injuries as evidence. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
