KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf recently issued a directive on the intensification of security and traffic campaigns throughout the country, reports Al-Anba daily. Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf ordered the arrest of those proven to have committed violations and crimes; stressing the need to firmly deal with anyone who dares tamper with the security of the country and violates laws and traffic regulations to guarantee the safety of citizens and expatriates.

He also emphasized the need for security officers to remain committed to treating citizens and expatriates well, taking into account the humanitarian aspect of dealing with them during the implementation of security plans and procedures. He added that security officers must open channels of communication with the public to ensure positive interaction and to achieve the goal of the security message. Meanwhile, a statement from the Ministry of Interior disclosed that the security deployment covers all main and secondary roads and intersections in a bid to confront any wrong behavior, monitor sites of reckless activities, and intensify awareness campaigns to enhance the security and traffic culture.
