KUWAIT CITY, March 17:  Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, emphasized that the care of orphans and providing them with a nurturing environment is a collective responsibility that requires the efforts of the entire community. She highlighted the importance of working together to ensure orphans are provided with a decent life and a bright future. The ministry, she noted, is continuously developing programs and initiatives aimed at empowering orphans and helping them integrate into society.

Speaking during the annual celebration of Arab Orphan Day 2025 on Sunday, held under the theme "Our Future is Promising," and organized by the Family Nursery Department of the Social Welfare Sector, Dr. Al-Huwailah stated that this day serves as an opportunity to reaffirm Kuwait's commitment to the principle of social solidarity and renew the nation's pledge to care for orphans, offering them all the necessary support.

Dr. Al-Huwailah praised the efforts of the Social Welfare Sector and the Family Nursery Department in providing comprehensive care for orphans. She also acknowledged their commitment to creating a supportive and safe environment that fosters growth and development. She stressed that the ministry will continue to support orphans, ensuring they receive equal educational and social opportunities, enabling them to become active participants in shaping the future of the country.

The minister called on community members and institutions to take an active role in supporting orphans, promoting the values of compassion and social solidarity.
