DGCA may reduce or cancel flights to Beirut amid security concerns.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: Kuwait Airways has announced that it will operate its final flights to Beirut on Sunday, August 4. The airline cited “current circumstances” as the reason for discontinuing its services to the Lebanese capital.

Yesterday the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced that it is actively coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kuwaiti air carriers to manage the rescheduling of flights to and from Beirut through Kuwait International Airport.

In a press statement, the DGCA explained that due to the current security situation in Lebanon, some flights may be subject to reduction or cancellation to ensure passenger safety. The Authority emphasized its commitment to monitoring the situation closely and adjusting flight schedules as necessary.

The DGCA assured that any updates regarding flight changes will be communicated promptly. The Authority also expressed its hopes for the safety and well-being of the Lebanese people amidst the ongoing security challenges.
